Words, Weights, Whatever

Remind me never to eat two days worth of leftovers for one meal. Especially when the leftovers are spaghetti and meatballs; "moku sticks" (think mexican eggrolls), and a hamburger. I will blame my lack of writing today on such a meal. I hope, though, the one hour intense cardio workout burned at least the calories of one meatball.

Since I missed writing today, I'm rescheduling it for tomorrow night.

Busy at work today. LOTs of conference calls. New projects coming in. I have mixed feelings about them. On the one hand, it's good to be busy especially when a company's trying to trim its budget for Wallstreet. On the other, my workouts have severely suffered. I'm going to have to play with my lunch hours and fit weigh-training back in. (I'm not worried about cardio since the classes are in the evening. Well, except on Friday afternoon.)

Bought a couple of nice gifts for SO. Loved them!

No major plans this weekend except to write. And eat out, of course. Time to rent some DVDs? Dune? (The miniseries from the SciFi channel (www.scifi.com), not that...movie.) We'll discuss the issue tomorrow.

Thought right now: Life's being quiet. Enjoy what you're doing before the next zinger hits.

Whew.

Got more than two pages on Tuesday. And it's good stuff. I'm beginning, though, to understand why many writers have to cull their work. My current method is to create the skeleton, then add. Apparently many others do the other way.

Busy day today. Also, I decided not to work out this afternoon. Instead, I made the afternoon my "indulge" day. Despite the change, I still can't eat as much as I used too.

I'm glad.

Tonight we're going out to dinner. I chose the day. The rest of the week looks fairly busy but we'll see.

Read an interesting piece of e-mail from some writing associates. Intriguing. Will see.

Ack.

Sorry to be gone so long. I had plenty of opportunity over the last few days to write but I've been enjoying myself too much.

We spent a lot of time together. We watched lots of anime and read. We even watched a TV show in real-time. What next? Surgical attachment at the hips? Hmmmm.... :)

I wrote twice on Saturday, generate over five new pages total. A pittance compared to other writers out there, but this is MY work and I'm quite pleased with those new words. Already, though, I'm thinking of how to tear them apart. Will deal with that when it's time. (Starting the second draft.)

Spoke with my ex a lot. Keep thinking, "Should I call? No, I shouldn't call. But...?" Very irritating. I was finally "prompted" to do so by my ex-mother-n-law. And you know what? I'm glad I did.

Work went well today. Busy with the current projects and preparing for the new ones. The next few months will fly fast.
