At work.
Not too bad today. Working on the weekly newsletter. Workload for the activations has definitely increased. Performing more trouble-shooting duties than I used to. Educational but very time-consuming.
No writing tonight. Magic Mountain. Much of me wishes not to go but I know it will be fun. Am I getting that old, that settled? Gotta work on it.
Oh! More than halfway through Sean Russell's World Without End. That's a milestone for me.
Time's 4:19 PM; the date's 9/27/2002.
Back from a very late lunch. Ah. Feel much better. Real food tastes better than the cafe mochas and candy bars of this morning. Should be full until dinner tonight up at Magic Mountain.
Quiet at work. Not unexpected. It's Friday and those who come in early bolt out at the earliest opportunity. I'll be hear for at least another hour. That's okay. Finally slowed down a bit.
Checked out that new Google News site (www.news.google.com). I like it. The information is quite an eclectic collection. I've been jumping around the broad topics to get a taste from the different on-line news offerings. Wonderful.
Good afternoon.
Debating about going out to lunch versus eating another can of spagetti or oatmeal. May sound like a no brainer (freshly cooked meal versus canned food), but there's those important intangibles involved. Namely, money.
I could not believe the cost to repair my car. That garage is definitely rooking me. I would have abandon them long again except I got used to them. Gotta start looking around for good-quality but less expensive garages. Biggest factor will be finding car rentals associated with those garages.

At work.
Blogger was down when I arrived a few hours ago. Finally went up.
Should I consider finding another weblog? Nah. The problems with Blogger had been more irritants than major catastrophes (unlike our home DSL going down). It's a free service and, overall, it's fine.
Wrote nearly three pages today. Me happy. I do work better by myself. I'll have to discuss the issue with Rick. He'll understand.
Oh! Converted my journal from .wpd format to .rtf format. When I have a chance, I'll copy and paste some of the material to see if that had been the problem previously.
Haven't been checking out Forward Motion lately. Part of it was due to the DSL being down. Then the site underwent changes from its provider. Finally, a lot of the material posted there are repetitious. I'll continue to check periodically to see (and keep up) with my fellow writers on the site. There were a couple of interesting discussions of late (e.g., why critiquers send your MS to their family and friends.)
I've been checking the SFsite (www.sfsite.com) website lately. Love their reviews.
Busy week, overall. Team building with my co-workers on Tuesday. Couldn't go to the Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson signing of Dune: The Bulterian Jihad on Wednesday because of car problems (which have been expensively resolved today. Sigh.) Writing and workouts suffered throughout the week. Because I won't be writing tomorrow night (Magic Mountain in the evening), I'm scheduling to write Saturday, which normally would be my "unofficial" day. Writing on Sunday since it's my official writing day.
Midnight. Back to work.

Sigh.
It's been a while since I last wrote. Not because I haven't been writing, but the s/w for my blogger went kaput! Received the error 506. The only way I found to resolve it (specially, I couldn't delete the offending entry) was start over. Fortunately, I had copied my (now) previous blogger template.
Still not sure exactly what caused the prob. I don't think it was the size of my entries. I wonder if it's because I switched from copying and pasting from the rich text file format (.rtf) to the WordPerfect format (.wpd). I may have to go back. Oh, well.
What has been going lately in my life? Well....
Spouse was able to obtain work since last Wednesday. Talk about a comedy!
Family's doing okay. Haven't spoken with mis padres lately, but Joci's doing fine. Will contact Jan later this week.
Been progressing in my writing. Me happy!
Workouts have limited to cardio. Will change starting next week.
